Aasa Thorvaldsdottir

Aasa Thorvaldsdottir does stuff. No, really. Her interests lie mainly in the areas of heraldry and the arts, especially vocal music, dance, costuming, calligraphy and poetry, with burgeoning interests in illumination, embroidery, cooking and cordial-making. She is not to be confused with Æsa Thorsdóttir (whom she has not yet met, but has heard good things about). Also, she and Morgan Athenry maintain that they do not, in fact, look alike.

Location

Aasa currently resides in Southern Shores. She has previously resided in Crosston and in Allyshia.

Activities and Offices

Aasa is currently the junior member of the Treblemakers, with whom she is having a fantastic time singing and being generally silly. She also attends dance practice as often as circumstances allow.

Additionally, she is the Acting Black Mark Pursuivant, which is the official title for the Westermark Herald.

History

Having found the SCA through the College of St Brendan's (the Humboldt State University group) in 2002, Aasa has been active on a fairly regular basis ever since. She played primarily in Allyshia with occasional forays south into the Mists (mostly over school breaks), also attending crowns and coronations whenever possible, until moving down to Southern Shores in the summer of 2009.

She was honored to serve Allyshia as Palatine Baroness from March XLIII (2009) through March XLIV (2010) with her dear friend Drogo the Quiet.
