- Click on "Create this page."
- Start MAKING!
- Remember to scroll down and click "Save page" when you're done editing.
Other ways to create a page
You must always be logged in to create a page.
Additional ways to create new pages:
- Click on a red link in any existing page--that means that the page doesn't exist. You will then be given to option to edit/create it.
- Go to the sandbox page, click the "edit" tab, type [[your new topic]], for example, [[Robin Hood]], scroll down to click "Show preview". Then click the red link that will appear in the preview page if the article doesn't exist.
- If you're very careful, another way to create a new page is to go to an existing page (such as a person's page), and replace the topic (such as that person's name) in the URL with your new topic (such as your name). So, for example, in the browser address bar at the very top of your window, if you're currently viewing http://www.inthewest.org/wiki/Robin_Hood, you could change the URL to be http://www.inthewest.org/wiki/Maid_Marion, then press RETURN. If the page doesn't exist, you'll be given the option to edit/create it.
