Persona

Sarah Wydville is an English gentlewoman, born in the year 1537. She is distantly descended from the English queen Elizabeth Wydville, a commoner who managed to move considerably higher in society than was thought befitting. This tenuous "royal" bloodline has given Sarah an excuse to indulge in her passion for fine clothing, fine food, and fine wine, often at great personal expense. Her disastrous first marriage was thankfully annulled, and she currently has no plans to venture into matrimony so long as she can find ways to support her lavish lifestyle.

SCA

Sarah currently resides in the Shire of Crosston, Principality of the Mists. Previously, she was seneschal of Windy Meads, and during the reign of Christian and Isabeau as Prince and Princess of Cynagua, was the youngest person to serve as Bard of Cynagua. Her primary interest is in sixteenth century western European clothing of the upper classes (emphasis on English, French and Italian), and occasionally dabbles in vocal music on the side. Sarah was apprenticed to Juana Isabella de Montoya y Ramirez. At 12th Night AS XLVI, she was accepted into the Order of the Laurel for her research in the field of Elizabethan costuming. Her new obsession is 1490-1500 French and English upper class clothing, providing a much-needed break from living and breathing Elizabethan for so long.

Sarah is a founding member of Chateau Rose, which embodies her favorite things about the SCA. She maintains the website Mode Historique where her research on historical clothing is readily available for perusal.
