Sigurgata

Household Badge

Sigurgata (which means "Pathway to Victory" in Old Icelandic) is a Norse Household residing within the Kingdom of the West. Many of its members live in the Principality of the Mists, but we also have members within the Principality of Cynagua and as far as the Kingdom of Caid!

The name "Sigurgata" was chosen to represent the journey that we hope each Household member will take, both in life and in their SCA career. Warrior, Artisan and Partisan alike, it is our hope that every member of Sigurgata is continually working to better themselves through learning, practice and through their everyday social interactions, because it is in these things we become healthy, happy, productive and contributing members of our society.

Sigurgata - Because life is about the journey on the path, not the destination!

This Household was created by Duke Uther and Duchess Kara to advance the ideas of Chivalry, Courtesy, Martial Prowess, Historical Research and the Arts and Sciences within the Society for Creative Anachronism. They were soon joined by Duchess Letitia as the House Chatelaine to help further these goals.
